About Us

The YoHo and its History

YoHo - the young hotel, wholly stands in a social tradition: built by the Good Templars in 1904, the Wilhelminian mansion was used by the order as a lodge house until 1995. The "Arbeiterwohlfahrt" (Workers' Welfare Federal Association) eventually acquired the villa in order to create an international place for young people to meet in the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg: a unique hotel with a mix of orient and occident in combination with a modern, linear design and the traditional architecture of the Wilhelminian era.
