YoHo - the Young Hotel is perfectly in keeping with social tradition: the turn-of-the-century mansion was built in Moorkamp in 1904 by the masonic order of Good Templars, who used it as their lodge until 1995.
The building was bought by the Arbeiterwohlfahrt organisation, Hamburg in 1995 with a view to realising the vision of an international meeting-place here in the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg, especially with young people in mind. It was for this reason that the innovative team of young architects from Atelier Centrale was entrusted with the reconstruction work.
Thanks to our consolidated efforts and financial support from the EU, the City of Hamburg and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt, a magnificent hotel has been created which reflects Oriental and occidental influences.
